Where is Peterborough Musicfest held?
Our summer concert series takes place at Del Crary Park, 100 George St N., on Little Lake in downtown Peterborough, just north of the Peterborough Memorial Centre and across from Market Plaza.
Do I need a ticket / how much is admission to the concerts?
You do not need a ticket to attend any of our shows. Tickets are only given out to sponsors to access our VIP area. Admission is always free to the park. Please bring your own lawn chairs/blankets and arrive early to get a great view of the stage. Lawn chairs are available to rent for $5/chair at the main entrance to the park.
Is there VIP seating available?
VIP seating is available to our sponsors and Fest Friends. Please have a look at the Fest Friend options on our website. Sponsor packages may be purchased from $3,000 to $25,000 – please fill out this online form and we’ll be happy to walk you through the benefits attached to each package.
Can food and drink or alcohol be purchased onsite?
Food and drink, including alcohol, can be purchased onsite at the Marina & Lighthouse Restaurant. The City has made the decision to no longer contract food vendor services at Del Crary Park. Note: we do not have a beer tent and alcohol is not served, and cannot be consumed, in the park per City of Peterborough By-laws.
What are the rules for smoking & alcohol?
No smoking, vaping, or alcohol is permitted in the park. This includes smoking or vaping cannabis. The designated smoking area is the parking lot on the west side of the park between the park and George St. Police and security services are onsite and will issue $305 tickets to those caught smoking or vaping outside the designated smoking area. See the City of Peterborough’s website for a complete list of By-laws.
Are pets allowed in the park?
No pets are allowed in Del Crary Park per City of Peterborough by-laws including exotic pets (service animals are the exception). Refer to signs around the perimeter of the park.
Are there bathrooms located at the park?
Bathrooms are located in the marina building behind the stage and the Art Gallery at the back of park.
Is there public parking or accessible parking at the park?
There is no general public parking at Del Crary Park on show nights, but neighborhood street parking is available nearby. There is also ample parking in the heart of downtown Peterborough, King Street garage as well as Peterborough Memorial Centre – a pleasant 10-minute walk from the park.
Accessible parking and drop off
We have a small number of on-site accessible parking spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional spaces can be had across the street at the Marketplace Plaza. There is a drop-off area at the entrance to the park on Rink St. just off of George St.
Sound Quality / Levels
Our professional sound crew works very hard to balance the need to fill a four acre park with excellent quality sound as well as the need of area residents to not feel overwhelmed by our concerts. We recognize that the sound level will not please everyone, and may be too loud for some. This is why we strongly encourage all concert goers – especially children – to wear protective ear wear. If you find yourself in the park without ear plugs, we offer them free of charge, courtesy of Hear Canada, at the info booth and at the entrance to the VIP section every night.
What if I need assistance while I am at the park?
Volunteers are available in the park during our show hours to assist you and answer your questions. Peterborough Paramedics are also onsite for premier shows, please visit their tent at the front entrance, if you require their assistance.
What are the rules for photography/live-streaming during a concert?
Photography during shows is permitted however, audio and/or videotaping of artist performances is NOT allowed. This includes live-streaming, and is in accordance with copyright laws that are in place to protect the artist’s material.
What if I lost something during the concert?
Please see any volunteer during show hours and they will do their best to help you retrieve your misplaced item(s). Anything that has not been claimed by the end of the evening will be left with the Peterborough Marina office.
Are media passes available?
Accredited media professionals may send email inquiries within 48hours of the concert date of interest at tickets@ptbomusicfest.ca. Please note: media passes are strictly limited and our local media partners are given priority.
