Peterborough Musicfest is excited to reveal its complete Season 39 lineup with the addition of two final artists: Canadian rock icon David Wilcox and Niagara’s brass-funk powerhouse My Son The Hurricane.

With these final announcements, the full lineup for the summer is now set, bringing 16 nights of free live music to Del Crary Park.

From legendary Canadian performers and fan favourites to first-time Musicfest artists and emerging talent featured through the Future Sound Series presented by Cogeco, Season 39 promises something for every music fan.

David Wilcox Returns to the Fred Anderson Stage

David Wilcox will make his third appearance on the Fred Anderson Stage when he performs on Saturday, August 8.

A beloved figure in Canadian music for more than four decades, Wilcox has earned a reputation as one of Canada’s most respected guitarists, songwriters, and live performers. With hits including Riverboat Fantasy, Downtown Came Uptown, Bad Apple, and That Hypnotizin’ Boogie, his return is sure to be a highlight of the summer for longtime fans.

Get Ready to Dance with My Son The Hurricane

Making their Peterborough Musicfest debut on Saturday, July 25, My Son The Hurricane brings one of the most energetic live shows in the country to Del Crary Park.

The 12-piece brass-funk collective has built a devoted following by transforming every performance into a full-scale dance party. Featuring multiple horns, drummers, percussionists, guitar, keys, and a charismatic frontwoman, the Niagara-based group delivers an unforgettable live experience unlike anything else on this year’s schedule.

In 2025, the band sold out 45 performances and captured international attention with a viral video that generated more than 30 million views.

Season 39 Is Set

This summer’s lineup features an exciting mix of musical styles and generations of Canadian talent, from iconic Canadian rock and country favourites to harmony-rich folk, brass-funk, tribute acts, and singalong classics.
