Joanna Bronson

Joanna Bronson is a country singer-songwriter based in Peterborough, Ontario, known for her honest, grounded approach to storytelling. Writing from a wide emotional range, she shares stories of love, loss, friendship, and family, shaped by the places she calls home.
Her debut album, Highway 28, was recorded with acclaimed musician and producer JP Cormier, marking a significant milestone in her artistic development and establishing a strong foundation for her recorded work. The record pairs clear, personal songwriting with warm, roots-driven production, reflecting on memory, growth, and the places that shape us.
Bronson has been steadily building recognition across Ontario and beyond. She has headlined the Millbrook Fall Festival, performed at local events and fundraisers, and continues to play to a wide range of audiences. She has been featured on CBC Radio’s Ontario Morning with Ramraajh Sharvendiran, as well as on YourTV programs The Skinny and Making Music. Her work has also been covered by the Peterborough Examiner and various online publications.
Bronson’s music has gained traction on independent radio stations throughout Ontario, where she reached #1 on the Petrock Radio New Music Top 40 for three consecutive weeks. A two-time nominee at the Petrock Radio New Music Awards (Country Artist of the Year and Country Song of the Year), her music has also received radio play across Canada and the U.S., and continues to reach a growing global audience, with over 11,000 streams on Spotify.
As a developing voice in Canadian country music, Bronson brings a fresh perspective that reaches beyond mainstream country, working to expand the boundaries of what female-driven country music can sound like.
