Jeanne Truax, deriving from Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, will steal your heart when she steps on stage. Inspired by the contemporary sounds of The Beatles and Wanda Jackson, Jeanne’s rockabilly and roots flavoured performances will leave you coming back for more.
Jeanne has spent the last year crafting her high-energy “rock n roll” live show, but she has a few other tricks up her sleeve.
Truax’s writing style varies from her rockabilly persona- while still adding a vintage touch, she blends Canadiana and Indie sounds with her unique voice and realist charm in her lyrics to create a modern pop sounding melody.
Jeanne has received the 2025 Peterborough Folk Festival’s Emerging Artist Award and plans to see though her music journey, with bigger and better shows every time.
