    1. I’ve always thought Peterborough Musicfest is such an important part of our community and jumped at the opportunity when I was given the chance to join the team.

    1. Memorable moments are often recalled when the music I’m listening to sparks a positive memory. It’s like music has this way of connecting me to what matters most. I thought, here’s a perfect opportunity to be part of something incredible. I get to give back, and in turn, I could help to create memorable experiences for future generations.

    1. I believe in the power of music to bring people together and create a sense of community. Music has always been a passion of mine, and I wanted to share that love with others. By participating in the festival, I have the opportunity to give back to the community that has supported me and to help create memorable experiences for everyone involved. It’s incredibly rewarding to see people come together, enjoy great music, and build connections that strengthen our community

    1. Outdoor music concerts and summers just go together!! Like so many, I’ve been enjoying concerts at Musicfest for decades (even since it was the Arts & Water Festival). I’m excited to ‘give back’ in this way. Musicfest is a unique and celebrated festival experience that provides so much to our city and region every year.

    1. I was looking for something where I could not only be around others, but also help the community. And Peterborough Musicfest fits that to a T. I’m really looking forward to a summer full of great music and meeting old friends and making new ones.

    1. Music is a universal language that connects, heals, and uplifts. I believe everyone should have access to experience live music and I am happy to be helping my community do so. Also, I spent summers as a teen religiously attending Musicfest, so it feels like a full-circle moment!

    1. Music has always been a huge part of my life. I grew up jamming with family and friends, going to live shows as well as working in the industry. Joining the board is an opportunity for me to get involved with the community and continue to help grow music and art within Peterborough.

    1. The first concert I ever went to in person was TFK (Thousand Foot Krutch) at Musicfest back in 2001. Even though I cannot find this information online .. I swear it happened! It launched my audio career into what it is today. I remember being at a conference when I was really young & someone asked me what my dream was & without a thought I said “to Play on the Del Crary Stage in Peterborough!”

    1. I recently graduated from a performance production and events program and was ready to get out of Toronto. I was instantly drawn to Peterborough’s community and all the incredible things happening here, and Musicfest felt like the perfect place for me to jump in.

While working for their Communications department, I fell in love with all things marketing.  When looking for a position to transition into, Musicfest stood out as such a remarkable opportunity. I can’t think of a better way to spend the summer. I look forward to a fantastic 39th season!

    1. I got invited by a coworker while doing concerts elsewhere. I stayed because I had a great boss (Kirkland Sugrue) and great friends. The atmosphere in the evening is exhilarating and it’s cool to be involved backstage. I’m very excited by the opener stage and I hope it allows for new breakthrough performance art.

    1. As a new member of Peterborough, I have come to love what the locals do; being Musicfest. I love to join in community events, support local endeavours, and also listen to music. This job has been a dream of mine over the last 2 years and I’m happy to join for the 38th year of Musicfest!

    2. I’d love to see Hayley Williams (Paramore) and Lorde play together. Don’t know what genre they’d sing though…
