Peterborough Musicfest is more than a concert series — it’s a community tradition built by people who believe that live music should be free, accessible, and shared by all.
Since 1987, we’ve welcomed world-class artists like Dallas Green, Carly Rae Jepsen, Metric, Walk Off the Earth, and Our Lady Peace to the Fred Anderson Stage at Del Crary Park — all completely free of admission. Today, Canada’s Longest Running Free Admission Music Festival continues to draw over 100,000 attendees every summer and generates $4.3M in economic impact annually.
That commitment to doing things the right way has just earned Peterborough Musicfest national recognition as the SOCAN Licensed To Play Award 2025 recipient — celebrating organizations that support Canadian songwriters, composers, and the live music ecosystem.
As we move forward with our newly developed Strategic Plan, we’re inviting passionate, community-minded individuals to join our volunteer Board of Directors and help bring this vision to life.
This is a unique volunteer leadership opportunity to:
🎶 Help shape the future of one of Canada’s most beloved summer traditions.
🎶 Support the implementation of new initiatives and partnerships that strengthen Musicfest’s community impact.
🎶 Champion live music, inclusion, and accessible entertainment in Peterborough.
🎶 Collaborate with a dynamic board providing governance, oversight, and strategic direction.
This is a volunteer leadership position requiring approximately 25 hours per year, including monthly board meetings, committee participation, and attendance at select summer concerts.
