Our First Ever Drive-in Concert: Looks Different, Sure Sounds the Same

We’re happy, and relieved, to say we’re back at it with our first in-person concert since August 2019. That’s 24 months (102 weeks, but who’s counting) of waiting, planning, and hoping to get back in front of actual human beings with an artist of our choosing. That’s a very long time.

Luckily, we were able to get our old friends The Reklaws on stage via live-stream back in March. As good as that experience was (and it was truly fantastic), it couldn’t replace seeing our audience – YOU – in person.

We’re thrilled then to bring you the Sam Roberts Band and special guest, The Weber Brothers Band on Sunday, August 29th at 7pm. It’s going to be a special one. We’ve wanted Sam Roberts on our stage forever, and it’s high time we had (adopted) hometown favourites the Weber’s back in the fold.

After a ticketing mishap that disappointed an awful lot of you (never should have happened), the few tickets we had to offer flew out the door in minutes. We’re grateful for your interest, and we hope those that did manage to grab a ticket know how lucky they are. Seriously, we’re told the 180 tickets we had to offer were tried for 10,000 times in the few minutes they were available. Those are long odds. If you managed to get a ticket, we look forward to seeing you. If you didn’t, we hope you’ll join us when we get back to Del Crary Park starting July 1, 2022.

In the meantime, free-admission is not actually, in any way, free. We don’t know how much longer we can do this, so we hope you’ll consider investing in your Musicfest with a donation. We run a tight ship, which means most of the money we bring in ends up on stage. If you want to see more artists like the Sam Roberts Band, Tegan and Sara, Big Wreck, and Terri Clark, please consider digging deep and contributing a few dollars to make it happen.

Thank you!
