Georgia Rose

Emerging indie-pop artist Georgia Rose is a young singer/songwriter with incredible storytelling lyrics and beautiful catchy melodies. Inspired by the works of artist such as Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams and The Cranberries, Rose creates vivid images through her songs and mixes her mainstream pop sound with indie roots. In April of 2024 she placed in the top 3 at Peterborough’s Got Talent and in September of 2024 she was awarded 1st place in The Kawartha Lakes Singer/Songwriters’ Contest. Her winning song is titled “Where Did We Go?” and is available on all streaming platforms, along with the music video available on YouTube. She has performed at a variety of venues both solo and with bands, branching out into the GTA and cities such as Kingston, Ottawa and Montreal. She has also been on several radio stations through air play and interviews, such as CBC (Ontario Morning).

Jeff Biggar

Jeff Biggar is a guitarist and singer who has cultivated a music career through his technical prowess, versatility and unique interpretations of popular music. Drawing inspiration from artists Lyle Brewer, Julian Lage, and John Mayer, Jeff continues to honour his craft and calling as a musician through the examination and exploration of the artists that inspire him.

Jeff holds undergraduate degrees in Classical Guitar Performance and Music Education from McGill University. In 2020, Jeff completed his Masters in Music Education from Western University and spent over a decade honing his craft as a high school music educator at Trinity College School.

His first cover EP, entitled “Something Borrowed” was released in July 2025.

Jeff currently resides in Port Hope, Ontario.

Crash Test Dummies

With one of the most recognizable voices in Canadian music history, Crash Test Dummies are a three-time Grammy-nominated, JUNO Award-winning band best known for 1990s hits “Mmm, Mmm, Mmm, Mmm” and “Superman’s Song.” Centered around the unmistakable baritone of frontman Brad Roberts and the folk-rock harmonies of Ellen Reid, the band reunited in 2018 after a twenty-year hiatus and has since toured extensively across North America, Europe, and Australia to sold-out crowds. Their dynamic live show features original members Brad Roberts, Ellen Reid, Dan Roberts, and Mitch Dorge performing the band’s most iconic songs alongside longtime guitarist Stuart Cameron and keyboardist Leith Fleming-Smith.

James N. Wilson is a Mohawk and French-Canadian Singer-Songwriter Musician from Six Nations of The Grand River. He has performed his music all around North America sharing the stage with many artists such as Deborah Cox, Lorde, K-OS, and many more. In December of 2019, his song “City Lights” hit #1 on the IMC Indigenous Music Countdown. In 2024 he released his second album “Alive”.

David Wilcox

A superb entertainer, master guitarist, with his signature soulful voice, David Wilcox has inhabited the Canadian musical landscape for decades with his blend of rock, blues, country, ragtime and other roots styles and will be treating the Musicfest stage to his unique brand of Canadiana.

Over his career he has amassed multiple gold and platinum albums and countless fans of several generations. His music has been skated to by Olympic champions Salé and Pelletier, his songs have appeared in movies like Cocktail with Tom Cruise. Whether it’s a backyard barbeque, a TV theme (Street Legal), Carnegie Hall, the Montreux Jazz Festival with John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin, his sound is ubiquitous and wholly Canadian. Until you see him live, you don’t know what you are missing. Lucky for us, he will be performing at Del Crary Park Saturday, August 8^th.

David Wilcox performed on the Fred Anderson Stage at Peterborough Musicfest in 1999 and again in 2024, and he’s back for more.

Singer/songwriter Calvin Bakelaar’s 5-piece outfit blends modern country, rock, folk, and pop into a live show built on the rollercoaster experience that is living your twenties in a small town. One of Peterborough’s best-kept secrets, the act was named Emerging Artist of the Year by the Peterborough Folk Festival, won the Don Skuce Memorial Songwriting Contest, and is an alumnus of the Mariposa Folk Festival. Since 2022, VANCAMP has played theatres, festivals, small-town bars, and living rooms across Ontario and Quebec, including the Bi+ stage at Toronto Pride and the Bay Block Party in North Bay. Trans-Canada Highwaymen

The Trans-Canada Highwaymen (TCH) is a super group (your words – not mine) consisting of Moe Berg (TPOH), Chris Murphy (Sloan), Craig Northey (Odds) and Steven Page (Ex-BNL). Four guys who have known each other for (ahem) decades now all of whom have written songs that have contributed to Canadian culture.

The TCH live show will include songs from Explosive Hits Vol. 1 but the emphasis of the TCH live show will still be the songs these guys have written.

Don’t worry, you’ll still hear Moe sing “I’m An Adult Now”, “Hard to Laugh” and “She’s So Young”. You’ll still hear Chris sing “Underwhelmed”, “The Other Man” and “The Rest of My Life”. You’ll still hear Craig sing “It Falls Apart”, “Someone Who’s Cool” and “Make You Mad”. You’ll still hear Steven sing “The Old Apartment”, “Brian Wilson” and “Jane”.

And you know what Vol. 1 means …

The Colton Sisters

Mary and Martha Colton grew up on a farm just outside of Peterborough, Ontario. In their early teens, they began singing together, picked up their guitars, and took an interest in songwriting. They’ve been honing their skills in local venues and festivals such as The Black Horse, Springtide Music Festival, PTBO Folk Fest, Artsweek PTBO, Cultivate Festival, and many more. They were featured in a BellFibe TV show called “The November Project.” The Colton Sisters’ harmonies create a captivating sound, in the way that only “sister harmonies” can.
